As fee-only advisors we are paid more like accountants and attorneys rather than stock brokers and insurance agents. We charge a flat fee for a single project, an annual retainer, or a small percentage of the assets we manage. Since we work on fees rather than commissions we can provide objective advice.
There is no cost for the first meeting. This gives clients an opportunity to interview us and test-drive our approach to financial planning and money management and gives us a chance to see how we can add value. During the initial meeting we offer feedback on the client’s current situation and provide a quote outlining what we will charge if our services are retained. Unlike our commissioned competitors who sell products with hidden expenses, we ensure our clients know exactly what they are paying for our services.
