There is more to financial planning than just superior investment performance. Here are 10 of the many reasons to choose Net Worth Advisory Group as your financial planning provider.
We are fee-only and NAPFA-registered financial planners.
As a fee-only advisory firm, we provide recommendations that are not tainted by a hidden agenda to sell financial products paying large commissions. Unlike our competitors at brokerage firms, insurance companies, and banks, we are compensated solely by our clients, so we are financially motivated to provide objective advice that is always in our clients’ best interests.
We take the Certified Financial Planner® designation seriously.
Anyone can call himself or herself a financial planner. However, only a Certified Financial Planner® has met the education, examination, experience and ethical requirements mandated by the CFP® board. Of the estimated 800,000 financial advisors in the U.S. only 55,000[1] have earned the CFP® designation. As all Net Worth advisors have or are currently working toward the designation, we are proud to be among the approximately 2,000[2] fee-only advisors who are CFPs®.
We accept a fiduciary responsibility to our clients.
We accept a fiduciary responsibility to always act in the best interest of our clients. Most financial advisors accept only a suitability responsibility to act in a way which does not harm their clients. Big difference! Our advisors proudly answer “yes” to all inquiries on NAPFA’s list of 5 questions you should ask your advisor. If your advisor can’t, then it may be time to give us a try.
We are committed to providing superior service.
Our service sets us apart. Many financial advisors sell products to make a quick commission, and rarely contact the client thereafter. We are paid over time rather than via an upfront commission, so we are motivated to perform and provide superior service in order to retain our clients. We meet with each of our clients on a semi-annual basis to review their investment strategies and update their financial plans. Additionally, clients can contact us with questions at any time. Our clients always know where they stand in relation to their financial goals.
We are affordable.
Financial plans start for as little as $750. To manage assets, we charge an all-inclusive fee (covering advice, ongoing management of the financial plan, semi-annual reviews, investment costs and transaction fees) that is usually no higher than 1.5%. Most competitors charge an advisory fee of 0.5 to 1% in addition to the cost of the actual investments, which costs an average of 1.1%. Consequently, total fees at our competitors usually range from 1.6 to 2.1%. The difference can mean a lot of money when it comes time to retire!
We make sure every client has a financial plan.
An SEC study discovered people with written financial plans have twice the money in savings and investments as those who don’t.[3] A written plan will likely put you on track to a greater net worth in the future. Thus, each client has a financial plan that is updated and reviewed every six months. View this webinar to learn what should and should not be included in a financial plan and how a plan can boost your wealth.
We are independent.
Unlike most commissioned advisors working at a broker/dealer, we are not pressured to promote particular mutual funds, annuities and insurance policies. As an independent Registered Investment Advisory firm, we have the freedom to objectively examine our clients’ situation and make the best recommendations possible while avoiding conflicts of interest.
We create a customized investment policy statement (IPS) for each of our clients.
Each client has a clearly defined investment strategy. This includes determining how to allocate and diversify investment dollars and documenting the portfolio’s risk and return possibilities. It also outlines criteria to identify the best investments available and how to manage them on an ongoing basis. This document provides a stable decision-making process during volatile market periods.
We have over 60 years of experience.
The talent runs deep within our organization. Our advisors have a total of over 60 years of financial planning experience. This means a better financial planning experience for you. Simply stated, we find, hire and train the most talented individuals possible and foster a culture of successful partnerships between clients and financial advisors.
WE CARE.
Our success is measured by our clients’ results. We value the lifelong relationships we develop with our clients, and derive tremendous satisfaction from helping our friends obtain their financial goals.
